Last summer down at an old friend's house, she had an apple tree in front yard less that 10 or 15 feet from front porch. A Mommy deer and two three feet tall young ones came to eat apples. I opened the front door, one looked up and I looked away. This happened two or three times...me looking away. And slowly I walked across the porch and leaned on the hand rail watching them eat. If one looked at me I just looked away and they returned to eating. If you ever get the chance, try it. It certainly worked for me...and it went on till Mommy left for the woods, about60 feet away. One followed and one stayed for another apple or two. ohfred
