We live about 12 miles from the confluence of the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers, which form the beginning of the Ohio River! There is a State Park there, along with the foundations of the original Fort Pitt. And, the Block house is there, too. I think it is a replica built much later than the original. It is open in summer for visitors to look inside of it. And, the park is used for shows, and other things. there is a large lighted fountain at the Point, where the 2 rivers join.
