That's what mine is,a $40 Cannon. I can scan photographs alright and they come through as jpeg. I scanned some stuff that was all text and it came through alright,but when I scan from a magazine or something where there's a picture and text it wants to come through as a PDF. I've got a screen that comes up,but I can't find anything that gives me a choice. Maybe I'll find it some day. If it's there I must be looking right past it.
