al1933---Just a couple comments----I had an older brother as a model, driving a Studebaker truck in the late 40's---actual picture intended for advertising purposes. I don't have that pic, but his son has it. About that same period of time, I remember riding with him as he was hauling a Caterpillar on a "low-boy", pulled by an Autocar tractor. If I remember right, that truck had only FIVE speeds. But it had a LOT of torque at low rpm's.
