My parents had a vegetable stand every summer thru my years and fortunately my daughter and son got to help them thru their teen years. One thing they learned was how to make change. Our daughter would come home from high school and say how most of the other students didn't know how to make change. Math was never my best subject but I did develop a method for figuring change in my head. Knowing what my charge was and knowing what amount I was giving them I was able to figure it out very quickly with just a few calculations in my head. For today those who work at any cash register they only know what to give back by what the register tells them to. It's sad to see that our social interaction, manners, morals are changing.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for �200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
