Crankshaft Pulley SPECIAL SERVICE TOOL(S) REQUIRED Description Tool Number Flywheel Holding Tool 303-544 (T96P-6375-A)

Removal

Raise vehicle on hoist. Refer to Section 00-02 .

Remove RH front wheel and tire assembly. Refer to Section 04-04 .

Remove RH splash shield from front fender apron (16054) for access to crankshaft pulley (6312)

Remove accessory drive belt (8620) . Refer to Section 03-05

.

CAUTION: Rotating the crankshaft (6303) in a counter clockwise direction may cause timing chains to bind and may cause engine damage.

Install Flywheel Holding Tool 303-544 (T96P-6375-A) to transaxle case and engage flywheel

NOTE: The accessory drive crankshaft pulley uses left hand threading. Rotate crankshaft pulley clockwise to remove.

Remove the accessory drive crankshaft pulley bracket retaining nuts from engine front cover (6019) .

Remove accessory drive crankshaft pulley and bracket.

Remove Flywheel Holding Tool 303-544 (T96P-6375-A).

Installation

Follow removal procedure in reverse order.

Tighten crankshaft pulley into crankshaft damper counterclockwise to 95-105 Nm (70-77 lb-ft). Tighten bracket retaining nuts to 20-30 Nm (15-22 lb-ft). Tighten retaining screws for splash shield securely.

I hope this helps the out side bolt is left hand threaded

I read a 5ft cheater bar would come in handy are heat the nut to destroy the loc-tite....

Special tool needed to remove the seal Google ( 303-409 seal tool )

I would for sure do what ever is needed to lock the flywheel down I would not want to damage a valve....
