Dave, I've been to Camp Georgetown a few times; Camp Pharsalia too! I started my Career with Corrections at Camp Summit in 1962 and Retired from Wallkill in 1995. The State was good to me, I started out as a G-4 Account Clerk and retired as a Deputy Supt. Never was in the uniform ranks. The Camps were great back in the 50's and 60's when all the inmates (Campmen) worked out in the State reforestation areas. My son sure misses Camp Summit. It had become a "Shock" facility but they were still doing some work in the woods. He was one of the COs lucky enough to take gangs out to work in the woods. Hale Creek is a State Correctional Facility.
