On my tractors, that is. But I've had a clock in the living room that occasionally decides to quit working. And it's a wall clock wiyh a New England clockwork in it. So, it takes about an afternoon to tear it apart and clean the bearings to get it to work again. But this time, i tried something just a bit different. I have noticed that ether will cut grease and dirt off parts quicker than anything else I have seen short of dynamite. So, I tried a shot into the back end- not a lot, just a couple of quick shots. Hung it back up, levelled it, and it's ticking up a storm. And faster than any other method I've used. The new ether has a touch of oil in it, too, so I'll try this without further lubrication on the bearings. Now, Mom's actually happy that I cleaned her clock....
