Tom, it is guys like you that bend over and pay the inflated rates that ruin it for the rest of us.
I pay $600 per year for $100,000 life ins. Those rates are based on my health.
For me alone, health ins with a $5000 deduct. is almost $300 month.
How many times is my life ins gonna pay $100,000?
Only once.
How often is a guy gonna burn up $100,000 at a hospital in his life time?
Maybe once, maybe twice. Probably Zero.
Same amount of risk, but health ins. is 600% more?
The rates for health ins keep going up cuz guys like you keep paying for it, whatever the cost. The country has been scared into paying it.
Like I said in my post. Bucking the system is the only way it is gonna change. Right now I think the hospitals just overcharge insurance companies to make up for the people that don't have insurance. I go in for a $50,000 operation and when I get done the bill will miraculously only be $30,000 when it comes time to pay. Not fair to the ins payers but it gets done anyway.
Right now I can get away with bucking the system so thats what I am gonna do.
