The sad thing is unless they are willing to relocate there not enough quality jobs for everyone seeking those jobs out. Retail jobs are the bottom of the barrel pay and benefit wise but the problem is that those jobs are the only ones available in most small rural communities. I've worked those kind of jobs before because they were literally the only jobs out there in the community. I would never tell anybody not to improve themselves but the sad reality is there are far far more of those jobs than quality white color or manufacturing jobs in any given community. And the government thinks the people that work these jobs will be the ones to push the Dow Jones and home values higher so the baby boomers can retire comfortably. Two 9 dollar an hour jobs at 30 hours per week does not equal a 100,000 dollar home surging to 150,000 dollars in twenty years or having a couple hundred dollars a week for a retirement fund especially raising children or have health care issues.
