I have a 8 horse Tecumseh on my generator and I have never drained the tank or run it dry.I use 10% gas in it every since it was new. It is not used in the winter months. I leave it about half full of gas and in the spring I add a little new gas to it, set the choke and pull the rope once or twice and it is running.
