I still live in the place I grew up in, but I own a chunk about two miles from my folks home, and a mile from my G-dad's farm. The village- a cross roads- has grown a little from what it was, and has changed some from different uses, but hasn't changed much in sixty years- just more traffic and a red light. Over half of the farms, and most were dairies, have succumbed to "developments", with their own special brand of city bred a-holes, all willing to tell you how to run your business. There are still a few of us farm boys around who still farm, but we're getting far and few between. Sad to see it all go....
