This trailer was equipted with a hydraulic surge brake system. The hitch is attached to the trailer tongue with two pins. It allows movement so that when stopping, it will push an actuator that applies the brakes.
I removed the surge brakes and have installed electric brakes. Should I weld the tongue solid to remove the slop in the hitch to tongue area?
