Long nose trucks are somewhat more aerodynamic. Our over the road trucks go thousands of miles per year and helps on fuel cost via better mileage. Quite a few loads even go several thousand miles delivering one load (i.e. vegetables from west coast to east coast). Distances in North America are lots longer and can run 70 miles per hour for days.
