-If it actually has two bushings there will be preload on the transmission input shaft, this will prevent the smooth shifting of the gears as the input shaft will still be turning driven by the bind against the extra bushing.
-If it shifts smoothly through all the gears without any grinding then you have to assume that even if there are two bushings in there they have been pushed far enough into the crankshaft to not be of concern.
