I wore an upper partial for 40 years. Metal type. I lost one of the support teeth. New partial was about $ 5K with all the prep work. Plus it was going on my lousy teeth and if another one failed all that money was lost. My dentist turned me on to a plastic partial called Valplast. Only about $ 1,500 and no prep work. I"ve had it about a year now and it is great. Highly recommend you talk to your dentist about it. They also have a website with lots of information.
