Probably the guy that was sent to get the P.O.S. trailer saw your trailer and decided to pull that back rather than th P.O.S. He probably had to travel I69 out of Mi. and knew he would get pulled over at about the 25 mile stick by the DOT officer that has been sitting there for the last 30-40 years. I would have gone and got your trailer and let somebody else pull the junker. After 35 years of trucking I've been amazed that more trailers don't come up missing than there is. Most them yards, drop lots, or what ever you want to call them are unattended and about anybody can pull in and hookup to whatever they want and just play stupid. I'm glad I'm retired from that and don't have to deal with it anymore. But I can understand your frustration.
