Just for fun, I sent the guy an email, saying I was interested,
because I pay attention to scammers. I like to see what they're
doing. Here's his response. It's good to see how they write, how
they describe the tractor/car as "... perfect running condition,
with no hidden damage..."
---------------------------------
Hi,

Thank you for your interest in my tractor. I want you to know
that I closed my auction earlier because someone offered me the
buy it now price, but he changed his mind and told me that he
didn't have all the money available and I cannot accept financing.
The price I want to obtain for the tractor is $40,000 US +
$500(shipping) = $40,500 (this price includes shipping and
insurance charges). I am located in Wyoming. I can deliver it with
my personal trailer within US and Canada.

The tractor is like new, completely working, perfect running
condition, with no hidden damages or accidents, it has always
been used for easy working. It is a 2002 model and it has 2,875
hours on it. It is a US model with US specs and passed the US test
emissions. It will be as if purchased locally. It will come with all
the necessary papers (bill of sale, user's manual, insurance etc). I
am selling it because I want to buy a Caterpillar excavator and I
found a very good deal on it.

I want the transaction to be made through eBay Business
Equipment Purchase Protection Program. Let me explain how it
works: We will use eBay as third party. First you will pay the
payment to eBay and once eBay receives your payment, I will
start the shipping. Please note that eBay will hold your payment
until you confirm that you received the tractor and you are happy
with it. After you make a decision, eBay will send the payment to
me or they will fully refund you. If you are not 100% content with
the tractor you are able to ship it back on my expense to get
your money back. I am sure this will not happen. I will give you 3
days for inspection.

If you agree with these terms, please email me back so I can
send you more pictures.

...waiting for your fast answer,
Scott Morgan

Today's Featured Article - The Day Mom Drove the 8N - by Brian Browning. My Dad was wanting to put in a garden but couldn't operate the 8N and handle the old horse drawn plow he had found and rigged up to use with the tractor. Well, he decided to go get Mom out of the house and have her drive the tractor while he walked behind the plow. You got to understand that while my Mom is a hard worker who will always help whenever she can... she had never operated farm machinery before that day. Dad got her out there, explained how the clutch was the same as in our o ... [Read Article]
