Does your basement floor drain have a natural drain flow out to the outside or does it go thru a to the septic tank or to a sump pump? I know some who build on a hill just use the natural slope for basement floor drains which eliminates the cost of a sump pump installation but allows snakes to enter the plumbing. Just a thought so I wanted to ask.
