When a flu vaccine is developed it's aimed at the most prevalent strain, not every strain that's floating around out there. I've only had one flu shot in my life and I haven't been sick enough to put me out of commission for a long time but I'm not around as many people as some of you guys and gals are, so my exposure is low. I'm not against the shot, it just doesn't seem to be a priority.
My mother was partly cripple by polio in 1951 when I was six months old. She also was a nurse, so when I was a kid I was vaccinated for everyting under the sun and then I think there were a few more shots thrown in just for good measure. Ironically, the only thing that took me down was the flu!! Jim
