Stay away from Fram oil filters. I recently went to the required Chrysler/Cummins training and the instructor told us that Fram has reimbursed Chrysler for 100's of engines replaced due to the filter media tearing and lodging in the #6 piston cooling jet. Fram never recalled any of the poor filters, just redesigned them. Same thing happened when the 6.7 came out. Fram paid for the engines and changed the filter again. There's no way to tell a good filter from a poor one and no way to know if all of the poor filters have been purged from inventory.
