I got a hunger while wife and I were watching TV. Got up to go get some ice cream. Wife said she'd take some vanella with blue berry syrup, and knowing how short my memory was, said I'd better write it down. I said naw I could remember that. By the time I got to the kitchen I forgot what I came in for. Got me a glass of milk and spied some potatoes in there and decided to fry some up with eggs and toast. Knowing the wife liked them too I thought I'd be nice and fix her some too. Went back to the TV with a plate for each of us. When I gave the wife hers she chewed me out for not writing it down, as I forgot the jam for her toast, just like she said I would. <;^)

For several years I had been driving by a farm house on the west side of Indianapolis that had a John Deere combine parked in high weeds in a lot behind the house.
