A few years after I moved onto my 12 acres a developer began building high-dollar homes on tracts adjoining my place, expanding an existing subdivision. My dog Loopy soon learned that this was an interesting place to visit.
One day he showed up back at the house carrying an Elmo slipper. A couple of days later he brought in the other one. (They didn't fit.)
I began to fear for his safety a bit when a week or two later he brought home a sack lunch one of the carpenters had brought to work. Loopy waited until he got home to eat it.
