Years ago, Gurneys was based out of Yankton, South Dakota. Like many seed companies, they were bought out by corporations mainly concerned about making money instead of putting out a good quality product. You might buy seeds from them, but I would avoid any root stock from them now. I have also heard that customer service is based out of India or Pakistan, but that might just be internet talk, not sure.
