Anytime the news mentions anything about firearms there is never any good press. I am unsure exactly how I would feel if my name and address were published as a gun owner. It might be a crime deterent. Wich house would a criminal prefer to rob, one that clearly has gun owners living there or the house that has none. Of course here in southern IN it would be a shorter list naming the houses without firearms, I can't think of anyone I know that doen't have at least one.
