Not saying this case fits you but it reminds me of a guy I once knew. He has since passed on to his reward. But he used to go around over the country and buy stuff from "old people" and then never go pick it up. He done it because even though he didn't need or want the item, he considered himself helping the elderly financially. Just kinda of a good deed type thing and most of them really did need the money.
