Truck in question sounds like a potential money pit...but ask yourself, even with a new clutch and all new brakes...do you have a truck that will last you a few years?
Is the body, frame and interior solid?
7.3 is most desirable diesel engine in a Ford pickup, no DEF, no EGR, no this, no that. I'd say 300k miles has some life yet if it was looked after.
They don't offer a 6-speed anymore either.
If it's cheap AND solid, you can afford to put some money into it and have something reliable.
