I do not believe in gun control - period. As a woman, I wish to be able to defend myself and my family if ever forced into a life or death situation.
As others stated - any laws enacted would only apply to law abiding citizens... because criminals and insane persons do not pay any attention to laws nor simple rules of human decency.
Banning law abiding citizens from gun ownership or from carry/concealing will have a negative effect. Criminals or mentally ill will then know that they are free to carry out evil any place they choose.
If only someone, anyone, had been carrying a weapon at the Ohio school, at the Batman movie, at Virginia Tech, at Columbine, at congresswoman Gifford's townhall discussion - anyone at all... I believe it is very likely that the crazed criminal could have been stopped much sooner, resulting in many saved lives.
One cannot legislate mental illness or evil intent out of existence. Take guns out of the picture - and those with the desire to do something horrific will just think of another means to accomplish their goal.
And yes, I pray for those families. I cannot imagine facing such grief, nor how one could possibly wake up and face each new day.

When dealing with thinner metals like sheet tin, a long bolt and
