I own nothing but fords and have, with very few exceptions, since I could hold a steering wheel.My father was all ford.I've owned model "A"s,ford tractors,cars and trucks ,4,6 and 8 cylinders.In nearly 60 years of driveing fords I've had 2 hyd. lifters fail and one fuel injecter fail. I can't even guess how many miles I've driven. All the trucks had at least 200,000 miles on them and they were all gasers.
As far as dodge not building a decent gas truck engine. Have you forgoten about the old hemi's? I've a few miles in some of those towing heavy aircraft around. I'd like to know what you've found wrong with the original 360's and even 318's.
And no, ford no longer offers a manual X/trans. in their pickups. I'm not happy about that.
