Got to agree. An old room mate got what became my lab from someone who was wanting to get rid of him, and the wife bought our little Chihuahua. Too I had one mixed breed that had come up to an old employeer as a stray and hung around for years until the insurance company made them get rid of her. She was bound for the pound when I offered to take her. She was one of the best dogs I've ever had. Other than that every dog I have had either came to my house as a stray or was picked up on the side of the road somewhere, malnurished and in need of a good home.
