I talked with a veteran who belongs to a gun club. He said all the men in the club recommend 22's for the ladies. Then progress to a larger caliber. Ruger has some nice looking 380's but they are too small for my hands. I have a Ruger 22/45 it has a little kick to it, more than you would think. One cop told me that more people are shot with 22's than other calibers. If the criminal is drug induced the only way to stop him is to choke him somehow.
