Best re-figure that. If your time is worth something and then what it cost to buy brushes then your still only doing a band aid fix since brushes are no where near what all need to be done to one most of the time. Plus when it cost me $45 for an alternator with a life time warranty I figure I save much more seeing as I do not have o do more then switch it out. But do it your way and then you have to do it again and again my way for my time and trouble I am way way ahead
