I'm glad they got him, but there will probably be two or three more to take his place. My FIL had his John Deere tractor stolen about 10 years ago. The thief was an ex-JD mechanic, so he knew how to hot-wire it. The tractor was found about 25 miles away from where it was stolen and the tractor was recovered in the middle of a pasture. The cops actually had to use a helicopter to find it. Thanks to the thief's girlfriend who snitched on him, the guy got caught, admitted to it and one of the conditions was that he pay my FIL $1000 as compensation for damage done to the tractor. My FIL didn't get a single red cent, and except for the hour or two after his arrest, the thief spent no time in jail.
