Get a lot of my brass from MIDWAY. (midwayusa.com) Son got a new caliber recently, figured he could buy cheap Walmart cartridges - shoot them, keep brass for reloading in our "custom" loads almost as cheap as buying new empty brass. And the storebought cartridges seem to work fine - deer are jsst as dead. I use a lot of once-fired brass as well. Usually have to clean them up, and completely size and trim them, rather than just neck sizing which I do with brass fired in my own guns.
