Well I bought a Ford 3400 Industrial this weekend. I'm new to deisels so Ineed any advice I can get. The little tractor shows about 3400 hours on a working Tach so I'm thinking it might be accurate. Starts first time and runs like a top. Needs a few hoses on the loader but other than that it's sound. First thing I want to do is change the oil. Any recommendations? Also, I've heard that the diesel now days will eat up an older injector pump. Any way around this. I've heard of pouring a quart of transmission fluid in with a tank full of fuel to help lubricate. Is this a good idea?
