I have both types, the $14 one from Gemplers will allow you to fill the tire without stopping to let air out that builds up in the tire as it fills with liquid . I use the $8 one on Garden tractor tires because they have the smaller car type valve stem and the $14 one only fits large valve stems like on big farm tractors. Even when filling small garden tractor tires with the $8 one you have to stop and bleed off air buildup in the tire.
