:lol: No, what made it work financially is that we had some money in a savings account not making diddly squat for us. That, plus we're refinancing our current mortgage and rolling in the balance (that we didn't take out of savings) for the new house, so our payment will actually go DOWN on the mortgage and we just used up some of our savings. Better than blowing it on a cruise or trip to Europe every year. It was one of those decisions/deals that I went over and over and couldn't figure out what was wrong with it.
I also was surprised when we got the insurance for it. It's insured for replacement cost of almost a quarter million bucks. Questioned the agent, she said it all goes by a formula of sq footage, what it's got it in it, etc.
