jackinok, I admire your hunting, gun safety, logic and common sense you have used in a noble cause although those of us on a tighter budget might have to approach it with a pump. Although I have mainly shot a 12 gauge for the last 50 years, about 5 years ago I bought a 20ga Charles Daly semi-auto at Wal Mart for less than $300. I think they are made in Turkey, but it weighs, balances and swings a lot like an 1100 (IMHO). It is a lot easier to carry than a 12 gauge 1100 although the recoil from a lighter gun seems similar.
