Have a Winchester in .243. Excellent rifle. Kills deer far better then it should. I do make my own ammo, use Nosler BT bullets loaded to a comfortable level, not max loads. Very accurate, do not hesitate to take 200 yard shots. Still rifle is compact and suitable for younger hunters.
