Bought some calves yesterday and today at sales. Weight in the 300 pound range, price varied from $1.07 to $1.70. These were heifers. Bull calves plentiful, steers not as common. Not interested in buying these, so didn't pay that much attention to their prices, but steers weren't bringing much more that bulls.
Hard to bid against order buyers spending someone else's money.
Yesterday got home at dusk and had trouble backing truck and small trailer into space. Today I got home a little earlier and hooked the tractor to the trailer. Visibility much better and tractor easier to manuever, process much quicker.
