I see that Norton declined to participate in the test. While it isn't a "free" AVP, I was surprised to see that they declined. They have participated in the past, however the test was very close to the release of their 2013 upgrade, so they might be in the next test with it. I dropped Norton on our two machines because I felt Microsoft Security Essentials could do the job for free instead of paying Norton a fee every year. Like the test says, if you practice safe surfing you won't encounter problems. MSE does a good job without the overhead that comes with bloated programs.
