I'm no Dodge fan even when it WAS an American company. That being said, I'm still using my 1969 Dodge PowerWagon as a farm truck. 318 V8 and 4.88 ratio axles. A crude tank that has outlasted many other trucks.
I also have a 1992 Dodge W250 with a Cummins intercooled diesel. Made in Mexico but has been a fantastic workhorse. I have never washed it once since I owned it. Has over 400K miles and runs like new. Still gets around 19 MPG when empty.
Granted my Ford diesel F-250 (made in Canada) rides like a Cadillac when compared to my Dodge. But the Dodge will outpull it and use less fuel doing the job.
