I don't hold out the sugar shortage as profiteering or fair trade but since oil and gas keeps poping up,I thought it might interest some. About 30 or 40 years ago,sugar prices skyrocketed and there was rationing in many places. The very next year sugar was so plentiful that it was pushed as low cost livestock feed because it was being subsudized. I felt then and still feel that we were being jacked up and somebody made more profit than they desearved.

In July of 1998 I was talking to fellow Allis Chalmers collector Mike Schilling about the annual "Gathering of The Orange" AC show coming up in August of 1999.
