If you are hauling a vehicle on a legal trailer with a legal truck and legal driver I don't see the probable cause to check for a title, even if you are stopped for speeding or some other traffic offense. I know this ain't the land of the free anymore but I hope it hasn't gotten this bad yet. A couple of months ago I hauled an inherited vehicle 1100 miles across those same states and never had a problem though it never occured to me that there might be a problem, I did not have any paper work at all in my name.
