The Union made sure that I only was expected to teach, at most, 250 minutes a day or a bit over 4 hours. The Union made sure that our average teaching salary was a fair wage, and now the average is about $105,000/year. And finally, the Union permitted me to retire with 30 years of medical insurance and a salary of over $100,000 plus a COLA. And people can find fault with the Unions?
