Greetings,

I'm not sure if mf is referencing me, or whatever.

my main point is, i think this is an excellent discussion,

as in brainstorming,

and we can enlighten each other of our points of view.

we all learn that way, as do the entrepenaurs that hear ideas,

modify them, and gamble on an idea.

yet we must not forget the small folks that helped along the way.

and if reference as 'posing' as a farmer is towards me,

i have never done such.

First, i couldn't do the job watchin the weather,

i'd have stroked out a long time ago.

Second, i've been raised in agriculture all my life,

specifically soybean reasearch, as my Dad is a world reknowned soybean research geneticist. my entire life has revolve around soybean research.

Before i was in diapers i was cross-pollinating soybeans in the field.

yep, research plots, smaller machinery,

but i live and breath agriculture although to stupid, timid, and weak to stake my entire life on it. as it is, my path in life tore my body up. enough said.

so now i live as a hermit, i have a love of ag machinery and own several old tractors, have a machine shed full of tools i can't even use anymore,

but i have NEVER tried to pose as a farmer on this forum, nor anywhere else in this world.

Do i have a strong, intertwined interest and lifestyle due to farming?

Of course i do. but i don't know a damn thing.

just what i learned from my Dad,

yet still chose a different path in life.

i hope i am still worthy to post on this forum,

with my declaration that i am not an active 'farmer'.

i'm not the only one who has lived the life, chose a different path, yet still has utmost admiration for those who do feed us all.

I can only do what i can do, basically nothing anymore, i love agriculture and ag equipment,

AND this is about the only forum on the internet where there is any common sense at all.

Peace, Danny

Today's Featured Article - Third Brush Generators - by Chris Pratt. While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity". After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point ... [Read Article]
