I thought the 706 would be newer than a 4010? 4010's were 1960-1963, 706's were 1963-1967. The 4010 is a bigger older tractor. Comparable IH would be an 806 but a little newer and a few HP bigger. If looking between two specific tractors condition will be a big factor. Next question is do you need the bigger tractor? What kind of dealer network do you have in your area? You're not exactly comparing apples to apples here. Both are good tractors with a strong reputation you'll have to figure out which one better fits your needs or gives you the best service for your money.
