i have had a 4010 since 1981. it was my big tractor then. it is more nimble than the 806 (706's big brother) that dad bought in 1967. it has good power. the 4010 has 2 major flaws. all the hydraulic lines are external and steel. lots of places to crack and leak, although by now the one you are looking at may be partly converted to rubber hoses. the other problem is the design of the brakes. if you spike them in a panic stop, there are pins that can shear off, drop down to the bottom of the transmission, and come back up cleaning teeth off other gears. btdt 2x. when the 4010 is working well, it is a lot nicer to operate. the 706 is more likely to keep plodding along without needing as much attention.
