The 5.4 is in my F250 crew cab. When its loaded down and Im pulling a trailer I can feel it work, but never had any problems, great general work truck...lots of room in the back and front... The V 10 is in my F350 flatbed. Loaded down "heavy" in the field and legally heavy with a trailer on the road... handles it extremely well. I don"t feel anything except the money going out of my back pocket. The key is that I don"t drive it more than once every 2 or 3 weeks, and then only short runs. It was cheap to buy (used) and I have done nothing to it. If I only had one truck and was driving it regularly I would be looking for the 7.3 L dsl. Buddy just bought a 2012 f250 with the new gas engine 6.2??? Fuel mileage is OK and power seems fine, but he hates everything else about the truck.
