dont have much info on the 5 .4 but run, dont walk away from the v-10, oh its a decent engine, lots of power, but it comes at a cost of about 6 mpg! my good buddy bought a dodge with a v-10 as he thinks he gets enough diesel noise in his 2012 freightliner on the road, he absolutely hates that pickup! San Angelo TX to Albuquerque NM, took 7 tanks of gas, and he was running empty! no load, trailer or nothing, the freightliner does better than that grossing 80,000 lbs , you simply cant beat a diesel if your going to drive it, more cost up front but it will out pull and more important it will outlast a gasser by a huge margin, if your say in your 50's or so if you buy now, you wont need another pickup, if you take care of it , my old 12 valve Cummings is going strong at 250,000 miles im leaving in 1 hour to do a 2500 mile road trip, and i don't plan to replace this pickup, the new one in my post above is for my wife, she just don't know we bought it yet..., if your just going to go to the big box store on the weekend and to work during the week the 5.4 will at least get better mileage than the v-10 just don't know how long they last..

The saga starts with the following message: Hey guys I have a decision to make. I know what you all will probably suggest and it will probably agree with me way down inside, but here it is. I have a picture blown up and framed in my "tractor room" of a Farmall M. It was my Grandpa's tractor, of which whom I never got to meet. He froze to death getting this tractor out of the barn to pull a truck out of the ditch before I was born. Anyway my dad and aunt had to sell it at the auction, ... [Read Article]
